You create the account, supply your existing e-transfer address (the one already receiving entry fees today), and configure the forwarding rule that sends a copy of deposit notifications to PurseKeeper. About 10 minutes total, and it isn't repeated for every tournament.
You do. You create tournaments and decide who else on your team gets access to the dashboard.
A separate annual PurseKeeper software fee after any pilot arrangement — see the Cost section below for how that's structured.
No — players don't need an organizer account or any sign-in at all. They open the tournament registration link, enter their registration information, and they're done.
After registering, players receive payment instructions and a unique code. They use their normal banking app to send the e-transfer, exactly like they already do today.
Yes, if they opt in — players can receive an email confirmation when a full or partial payment is recorded, showing what's been received and what (if anything) is still owing.
Create the tournament (name, date, entry fee, and a deposit/balance deadline if you want to accept partial payments), assign the people running it, and share the registration link with players. From there, you receive payment notifications, PurseKeeper matches each one to the registration, and the player gets an email confirmation.
The dashboard shows the current paid, partially paid, and owing list for every tournament, updated automatically as payments come in.
You confirm the final amount collected and the resulting payout values — a clean summary to check before withdrawing and paying out in cash. PurseKeeper doesn't approve or move any money; you make that call.
You keep running the bracket, format, scheduling, and floor — same as always. PurseKeeper removes the added job of collecting entry payments, matching banking names, maintaining payment spreadsheets, calculating balances, and rebuilding the confirmed-player roster. By the time the tournament starts, all of that's already done.
Yes. Directors can change from event to event with no impact on the payment record, since the dashboard tracks it independently of who's running the floor that day.
No. PurseKeeper never holds, moves, or has access to anyone's money, and never sees a banking login or password. It only reads a copy of the deposit notification your bank already emails you — the same information you'd see yourself, just matched automatically to the right player and tournament.
Exactly where it goes today — your own e-transfer account. Nothing changes about how players pay or where the money lands. What changes is that it's tracked automatically instead of by memory.
A separate annual PurseKeeper software fee. PurseKeeper does not take a percentage of tournament entries, and no processing fee is deducted from the entry money. The first pilot may be offered at no cost while the system is being evaluated. Pricing for the ongoing software fee is still being finalized — pilot pricing to be determined.
Nothing's locked in. The pilot has no long-term commitment — if it's not worth it, go back to running tournaments exactly as before.
This is being built out for the first pilot tournaments — sign-in and dashboard access will be ready before your event. What you're looking at here is exactly what it will do; the pilot is what makes it real.
